NOTE: For all libraries, you may want to check Un4seen
Developments for new DLLs with bugfixes.
BASS (2.2.0.1)
BASS is an audio library for use in Win32 (9x/ME/2K/XP)
software. Its purpose is to provide the most powerful and
efficient (yet easy to use), sample, stream, MOD music, and
recording functions. This library was written by Ian Luck,
over at Un4seen
Developments. New features include Add-on plugin system,
MOD position & syncing in bytes, Support for AIFF files,
Floating-point sampling, More options, and More. If you only
want to use this library on Linux, and only need to play
module formats, check out BassMod
below. There are several examples included with the
distribution. It can be downloaded here:

BassMod (2.0)
BassMod is a subset of BASS. It provides simple functions
for the playback of the module file formats. It's main
strength is that it works on Linux, PocketPC, and MacOS, as
well. It can be used in demos or anything that needs to play
MOD music, but has tight space requirements. You can read the
manual online, as well.
BassMod can be downloaded from here:

Module Library (61 KB; Windows)
NOTE: The Linux version will be available shortly. For the
time being, you can download the Linux shared library from
Un4seen. It should
hopefully work correctly.
BassCD (2.2.0.0)
BassCD is an extension for BASS which provides the ability
to read CD Tracks. This supersedes the CD functions that were
in the old 1.8 BASS DLL. You can download BassCD from
here:
BassCD
Extension (39 KB; Windows only)
BassEnc (2.2.0.2)
BassEnc is an extension for BASS which allows channels to
be encoded using any command-line encoder that accepts input
via STDIN. The examples allow you to encode files into MP3 or
OGG format. You must download the two encoders from their
respective sites (to follow their licenses.) BassEnc can be
downloaded from here:
BassEnc
Extension (21 KB; Windows only)
BassVis (2.1.0.0)
BassVis is an extension for BASS that allows you to use
Sonique and Winamp Visualizations. BassVis can be downloaded
here:
BassVis
Extension (69 KB; Windows only)
BassWMA
BassWMA is an extension for BASS that enables you to play
WMA files. This is not currently finished. There seems to be
crashes with callbacks.
BassFX
BassFX is an extension for BASS that enables you to use
several effects on music channels. This is not currently
finished.
BassWA
BassWA is an extension for BASS which allows you to use
WinAmp Visualizations. This is not currently finished. I
think there are problems with callbacks and threads.
